The members of the Easter Drama Cantata committee and YouthQuake celebrated their 45th anniversary by providing free tickets to thank and honor all of the 223 cast members who participated in these ecumenical events.
The week of events and festivities started on Friday April 14th with a “Meet and Greet” at the Pencas restaurant on the Amador causeway.

This celebratory meeting was followed on Saturday April 15th with a formal Gala Dinner Dance at the Marriott Panama Hotel in Albrook attended by over 150 drama-cantata members and their families including over twenty overseas guests.The elaborate program included a short recap of the 12 performances in Panama and Colon which were sponsored by the Methodist, Anglican, Baptist and Catholic churches in Panama:

This visual presentation was followed by a lavish buffet dinner and by video testimonials of the drama-cantata’s influence on the lives of Silvia Tom, Neina Green, Enrique Small, Indira and Erica Morgan who have directed their own drama-cantatas in the US.
Gala Dinner Dance Saturday April 15th
Also included in the program was a heartfelt presentation of the honorees of the event: Curlyn Tomlinson, Joyce de Green and Carmela L. Gobern. The attendees also had the opportunity to remember the 18 cast members during the in-memoriam tribute for those have gone before us. All guest were presented with an anniversary gift bag which included a commemorative 45th Anniversary polo shirt and many give aways from our event sponsors as well as valuable door prizes.Worship Service Sunday April 16th
Members of the committee presented of certificates of appreciation to the cast members in attendance, who enjoyed a live performance by Cecilia Carrasco (Mary Magdalene) and concluded with a lively dance with music provided by a local DJ.On Sunday April 16th the cast came together once again in ecumenical fellowship with Bishop Juan Simpson and Archbishop Julio Murray (both from the drama Cantata cast) for a commemoratory worship service Rio Abajo Methodist Church – Calle 13 Rio Abajo.
The after the service, celebrations continued with a visit to the St. Christopher’s Auditorium where most of the rehearsals and presentations were held, a typical Panamanian lunch at the Francis restaurant and a bus tour to Casco Viejo.
